Bentley Mulsanne 2016 facelift

Although the Bentley Mulsanne is only six years old, it is about to receive a major facelift. Pictures released by the brand earlier this week, gave us a tiny glimpse at the car’s new appearance and we’re incredibly excited.

The Mulsanne has made its official debut at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and went on sale the following year.

Originally available with a 6.75-litre twin-turbo L Series V8 engine, it wasn’t the vehicles power that made the headlines – It was the high level of luxury, which the Mulsanne offered to its customers.

Fast-forward six years and the Mulsanne is going through some major changes.

Appearance-wise, the car stays true to its roots, however numerous changes can be seen straight away. The steel grille has increased in size, which gives the car a slightly wider appearance. The bumper, bonnet as well as the headlights have also been given a small makeover. In the rear, a new pair of floating LED headlights can be seen with the bumper also increasing in size.

Inside, the vehicle also looks much nicer. A new 8.8 in touchscreen takes centre stage, with numerous new features around it. New style of seats increase the level of luxury and the choice of a variety of different colours gives the customer the opportunity to modify their vehicle to their liking, before even buying it.

The same engine remains, however it is now much more powerful with the new Mulsanne reportedly capable of reaching a top speed of around 184 mph.

Currently, the new Bentley Mulsanne is shaping up to be a fantastic vehicle. Whether it will be as good as its predecessor remains to be seen however we’re very excited to see the luxury car in all its glory.
